New and Inspirational Photography Tips

No matter what you know or what you think you know, there are always some photography tips or "Nuggets" or "Gems" of information that you hear that make you think "Hey, that's a good idea!".

We all like to think we have got it down to a T, but ask any Professional Photographer if they "Know it all", and they will tell you that they are constantly learning. Learning things such as:

Even Professionals look for new and exciting photography tips for weddings, or new lighting tips for portraits and commercial photography.

Do I have all the answers?

By no means do I want you to think that I know it all, far from it. What I am offering in this photography tips section, is over 20 years of experience and all my "Geeky" knowledge on Photoshop and various other aspects.

I have done my fair share of research from years of reading magazines, going to seminars and more importantly from hands on experience. From everything be it my first apprenticeship at 16 to photographing Princess Ann exclusively. From Weddings to pet portraits and from passports to large magazine editorials. If I get stuck, I will hand you over to someone that can help! No-one knows everything about anything!

Photography has been a passion since I first tried my Fathers' SLR (Single lens reflex...you know, the ones you can change lenses on) way back in 1978!! Back then I must have read every magazine, gone to endless Photo Exhibitions, and now with the internetwell, my wife and child hardly see me!

Child?

Did I mention child? Actually, I think I have mentioned them a few times on this site, and with good reason. Since my son was born in 2003, and with the introduction and ease of digital, I have racked up 000's of photos of the little pickle! When we added a daughter to the fold in 2005 I had to upgrade my hard drives!

It didnt go unnoticed, the mothers group that my wife attends saw some, and ever since then, child photography has been high up there on my To Do list. In fact, while we are here, why not go to my Tips on Child and Baby Photography page and see if I cant help you to capture the little ones just the way they are, naturally.

Of course, shoving a camera in their face from day one helps them to get over any camera-shyness, just ask my son.

Anyway, I digress, lets jump on the learning curve! The following links/photographs will take you where you want to be...improving your skills in your chosen field/s.
