DSLR Photography Training

We are going to be creating a new DVD and/or membership section to ATP in 2009 (NOW LIVE...See end of page)!

Judging by the requests, questions and emails we get regularly at ATP, many people all over the world are moving up to a DSLR and some lucky ones may even get one for Christmas or a birthday. Our DSLR courses throughout the year have been a great success but many people have said they would come if only they lived nearer!

So, to combat this, I am going to be producing an extensive, hands on training DVD and eBook geared towards the beginner to DSLR photography. It will include footage of me out and about photographing different things from wildlife to stock photography as well as wedding photography, studio, flash, macro, people, business and editing on the PC etc.

I then thought that because photography is ever evolving, it may be better to create a private members area of ATP where for a small, reasonable monthly fee (the cost of a magazine or two), you could receive the same information online but I could easily add a lot more things such as:

• "Absolute Beginners" Training
• DSLR Training
• Stock Photography
• Wedding Photography
• The Business of Photography
• Regular updates as technology and techniques in the photography world evolve
• A private members only forum where myself, and other professional photographers hopefully, will participate and critique a lot more of the time
• New videos and tips added monthly
• Members page with gallery
• Tests and projects for you to take on
• Plus, I am toying with the idea of a regular "live" online session for members where I will answer questions "on air" (gulp)!

Part of the reason for this is that as ATP has grown, too much of my time these days is spent answering questions and emails as well as critiquing photos and I find myself losing many "working" days out of each month.

Don't get me wrong, I love helping people and will continue to do so but I also have little mouths to feed and bills to pay. With this membership section in place I could then drop a lot of my regular work that I do away from ATP, and spend a lot more time adding new and fresh content.

Note: When letting us know whether you prefer a DVD or private members section, please bear in mind that the private members section will include all elements of the DVD anyway. I.e. It will include many video clips as part of each section as well as interactive quizzes not available on the DVD.
