Great for isolated stock images and a whole lot more
Digital photography backgrounds from Lastolite are some of the finest in the world and used by many professional photographers. They are versatile, easy to operate with their "pop open" design and of course, high quality.

Now, one of the best products to emerge from the Lastolite stable is the HiLite range. These are particularly useful for stock, fashion, commercial and product photographers. They are:
If you have dabbled in the world of product or stock photography, you will know that isolated images on a white background are big sellers. They are highly sought after but if you have tried to get that perfect white background, you may have struggled.
Back in the day...
To get this right, up until now you needed two powerful lights or more. These are to lighten the rear white backdrop (which are set 1 to 2 stops brighter than your subject). Then one or two more lights to illuminate your actual subject which can be quite expensive and "space-hogging".
It is also very tough to get right like this and it could initially give results that get rejection after rejection at the stock agencies. As well as disgruntled clients. The HiLite digital photography backgrounds now make this a breeze.
As you can see in the image above, the HiLite background unfolds very quickly so make sure nothing breakable is around. This creates an instant, perfect white background. All you need to do is place one studio flash (or even a speedlight or two) facing inside the unit and presto!
Perfect, all round, white isolated backgrounds every time!
The Lastolite HiLite background is also versatile in that due to the fact that the background is illuminated which means your subject or object can be as close to the backdrop as you like without casting a shadow…great for small spaces.
