X-AIRFLY Mono Monopod by Fotopro Gear

Is this the most versatile monopod under £200?

X-AIRFLY Mono Video Monopod Review: When I was asked to review this lightweight monopod, and after checking it out, I wanted to offer this as a prize draw for ATP Members. However, when I opened it, I thought "sh*t!"

The reason for that is because this monopod was way better than I expected, especially at this price. I want to keep it but I will still be giving it away and no doubt buying another for myself. Check out why in my review...

Having played with this photography and video monopod over the past few days and used it to film a RNLI display in Weymouth, I am truly impressed.

Is this the best monopod for wildlife photography?

X-AIRFLY Mono for Wildlife Photography

If you are out and about shooting wildlife or nature photography, the X-AIRFLY Mono may be the feature-rich, lightweight monopod for you. The main reason for this is its weight. When hiking up hill and down dale, you want to keep your kit weight to a minimum.

As soon as I removed this from its box, I was impressed with the carbon fibre design and lightness. The fact that you can detach the head from the monopod from the base in seconds is incredibly useful and great for speedy set-ups.

Best monopod for sports photography?

X-AIRFLY Lightweight Monopod

Sports photographers might like the X-AIRFLY monopod again, due to its weight. However, the quick switch from rubber plug for hard ground to spike for grass and softer ground makes this highly customisable for sports.

Add to that the fact that you can quickly attach your stabiliser to this monopod plus extend it to a huge 1.865m for seeing over crowds etc!

Is this a good video monopod to buy?

X-AIRFLY Mono 4

I own a Sirui P system monopod and it is excellent. It is also very heavy and fairly cumbersome. When I compare it to the X-AIRFLY Mono, I would definitely use this over the Sirui for many situations.

Mostly, for the weight and versatility it provides. I am using a much lighter, smaller video head which compliments the lightness of the X-AIRFLY well.
