Great Weather for Flying Drones Today!
After a quick check of the local weather last night, it appeared that this morning would be clear. Not only that, but sunny skies with very light winds. So, charge batteries, controller and screen...
After dropping my daughter off at school, I headed for the Beachside Leisure Centre in Bowleaze, Weymouth. I have always liked the look of this place but wanted to see it properly from the sky.
Upon entering the main building, I asked to speak with the manager. I thought it best to ask for permission to take off from his premises and got to speak with the company owner.
After a chat about flying drones, equipment and so on, I headed out and went through the usual checks:
…and up I went.
I will post a video from the DJI Phantom 2 below but I couldn't believe how amazing this part of Weymouth looks from the sky. Crystal clear water, white, sandy beaches…wow.
