Commercial Photography

A little bit of Photoshop trickery goes a long way. The idea with this shot was to illustrate a young family looking to buy an off-plan property in Spain for a real estate client; hence the sunny blue sky and a "hint" of scaffolding.
I had to lie on a very dusty floor to get the background shot that I wanted, from a different perspective to make it look original. I asked the "family" to imagine they were holding a plan or blueprint of the property they were after, and asked the "mother" to point at those plans.
Once I had fired a few off, I went back to my PC and added the plans in as best I could whilst trying to keep it natural looking, and then fading the plans to give the appearance of transparency. By doing this, we see the faces, the plans and the background, I like this one!
