Portrait Photography

I guess you could call this the "classic" portrait pose. The look, the hands and surroundings are all typical of the old style way of photographing people that I remember in the 80's. The house was beautiful and I didn't want to waste the setting and ambience which is why I set up this particular shot
It was taken as a set of portraits for the subjects 21st birthday. It was also a surprise. As well as this posed shot, we also did a few more relaxed shots of the family, the sister and some shots in some cars we just "found" in the Villa that we had "borrowed" for the shoot.
They included 2 Mercedes SL sports convertibles, an American Chevrolet and a convertible £250,000 Bentley! Nice work if you can get it.
To enhance the "dark wood" theme in the shot, I used Photoshop CS to create a vignette around the model which concentrates the eye more on her than the surroundings.
You can see how to create a vignette effect using Photoshop HERE
Exposure: 60th/sec F5.6
