This was, once again, taken for a lifestyle set used for promoting Spain and all of its attributes. I have gone against the famous rule of thirds and placed the model dead centre. The reason for this was to add to the general symmetry of the image and to illustrate a nice, quiet, isolated sandy beach along with peace and solitude. I got down quite low as to include as much of the beach as possible and to even out the 3 elements, sea, sand and sky. I particularly like the bold colours which were greatly enhanced by the use of a polarising filter which helped to reduce the glare on the sea, showing its true colours and to darken the rich blue sky. Be aware when using a polarizer as it will lose you a couple of stops. This was a very bright summer's day in Spain and even using ISO 200 I still only managed 125th/sec at F8. Just to be a bit arty, and to submit to stock libraries, I "minimalised" the 3 elements mentioned above to clean it completely to focus purely on the model in the center. To my surprise a few of these have been used.
