Model/Portrait Photography

This was amazing, how lucky can you get? I was doing a shoot with Emily, an aspiring young model, when we decided to take a break. It had been raining outside and Emily stepped out to get a break from the heat of the lights.
She came running back in saying there was a huge rainbow outside so I grabbed my camera and ran out. I can honestly say that I have never seen such a perfect double rainbow, complimented by such an awesome sky.
It could easily be mistaken for a "made up" backdrop. And to top it all, the setting sun was just poking out from behind the clouds just before it set, casting a nice glow on the garden and Emily.
Even though it was "spitting" with rain, I desperately wanted to get some nice shots so a little water on the camera wouldn't hurt. I used a 16mm lens to get most of the rainbow in and F10 to ensure that both Emily and the sky were sharp.
As I always say, whatever and wherever you are shooting, always keep your eyes peeled for any opportunities that may arise. Emily and her parents loved these shots and I would have been gutted if I had missed them.
