Tarifa Beach Lifestyle Shoot

This image was taken from a lifestyle shoot for a real estate company at Tarifa beach in Southern Spain. Tarifa has a huge, long white sandy beach well known for its extreme sports including Kite-surfing where the Pepsi Challenge is held once a year.

Strong winds off the Atlantic make this an ideal spot for any wind-related water sports and attracts thousands of visitors every year.

This image has been used a number of times for magazine articles to promote the lifestyle here in Spain.

We wanted to show peace and isolation so a bare piece of beach was used and a polarising filter stuck on the lens to create the deep, rich colours and clear sea.

I didn't get too low as I wanted the model to be surrounded by sand and not dissected by the horizon. Levels and curves were used in Photoshop to enhance the bold colours of the summer.
