Women with iPhones~

Remember when the husband was on the front lines and the wife supported in the office? Today we see women on the front and men taking care of the technicals. Makes sense~

It was not that long ago that men were the main force in photography.

After a recent convention I noticed that women have found that they can attract a hugh portion of the market. It makes sense~

With PS apps and high res images possible on hand help devices that we all carry every day, it's no wonder why the industry has changed.

We shoot, touch, send and dispose... here we are in the next generation.

It does not matter how good my images are. If you like it, you will look at it and throw it away while waiting on the next "cool" shot.

If photogs want to survive in the future, education and cooperation will be necessary.

A&O - "Adapt and Overcome" Do it or retire...

No more "me againt you." We will need to create an understanding that we all work for the same cause (client).

How great would it be to us trying to survive if we had to be licenced to pratice? What if all the newbies has to apprentice for a few years under seasoned and certified professionals before entering the market?

I'm sure they would disagree as it is so easy to get in the business.

But the willingness to give away the image coupled with the lack of dues paid has changed the nature of the industry.

It's a shake down that will forever change our industry. Not for the worse but certainly not what we remember as the history of photography to date.

I'm developing a new stratagy for my business (again) in the hopes that photography will find a somewhat predictable future.

Welcome newcomers and remember that some of us made it possible for everyone else to be "professional."
