Nikon D600 Preview
Nikon recently announced their new alternative to the Nikon D800…the more affordable and barely stripped down Nikon D600.
Many people have been surprised at the feature rich release as it not only has very similar features to the D800 but also offers uncompressed HD video output via the HDMI interface…very nice.
Despite the fact that people have already starting slating it for minor niggles such as it doesn’t have a PC sync and that the flash sync is “only” 200th/sec, I think this is a fantastic entry level/serious amateur photographer’s camera.
Try to look at what is does have rather than what it doesn’t and think of how you could put all of that to good use. Also think back 10 years to how far we have come with DSLR’s and decide whether this camera is for you.
If I shot Nikon and already had a D800 or D4, this would be a perfect compliment as a second/back-up body or even a “take anywhere” camera. Check it out…
