Who am I? My name is Nick Stubbs, I am 38, married with one 2 year old son and a daughter on the way. I have been into and more often than not "obsessed" by All Things Photography for around 25 years.
I remember as a 13 year old, reading magazines and drooling over the then incredible Canon A1 and AE-1 program or later, the stunning Nikon F4 with really knobbly buttons that could have done anything, but it didnīt matter...they just looked soooo good. I still think that even today, this was one of the "sexiest" looking cameras ever made! Yes, I know, most other 13 year olds are drooling over other magazines, but I kind of got hooked on photography before I did on girls. Which is maybe why I didnīt get married until my thirties?
The interest has stayed with me throughout my teens, my 20īs and now into my "Digital" 30īs. I can see it going on until the day I curl up my pixels and go to the great Photo-shop in the sky!
The introduction of digital has opened up a whole new photographic world for me, and I now spend as much time on Photoshop as I do actually taking the pictures! I am a Canon man through and through (used to be Nikon) as their research and development into digital photography is second to none.
I currently use the EOS 5D, EOS 1d MKII and the 20D along with various "L" lenses. I shoot weddings, portraits, lifestyle, commercial, basically anything I can put myself and the camera in front of. After my family, there is nothing to compare my interest in photography to, and I built All Things Photography as an extension to my fascination for this hobby which is now my living.
