Like many professional wedding photographers, I am constantly looking for ways to get more leads and convert them into bookings. The last few years have seen a swarm of new wedding photographers hitting the scene all competing for the same work.
Earlier this year, after meeting the owner of a new referral based website and liking what I saw, I decided to give it a go. After just a few weeks I had two solid bookings worth around £4,000 and I was receiving more and more enquiries.
This is not a directory or database but a genuine referral system that is limited to a finite number of photographers in each area. The idea is to create a close-knit, community of photographers that all help each other...and it works.
After a successful trial period of testing, the system is at present undergoing a complete overhaul and revamp and will be re-launching in October.
